This is largely a new curriculum to get students "team ready". The idea is to give them lots of tools that they will need to be better ready to join a team and perform. Exercises are largely built to help them:
-
Make clear, specific initiations which set up the who what and where of a scene
-
Get better at converting suggestions into scenes
-
Learn various editing techniques - sweep edits, tag outs, pulling focus, transformations, revolving door
-
Separate the base reality/situation of a scene from the "fun part" (aka the game of the scene)
-
Using time jumps and tag outs to heighten the game of the scene
