About the Class:
Ready to refine your improv skills and develop stronger performance habits? Our 8-week advanced improv course will help you improve your improv habits while identifying and overcoming old patterns. You'll discover ways to take care of your character, scene, and overall performance piece. Dive into nuanced character and group work, discover the power of silence, and learn to confidently jump into scenes without preplanning. From freeze games to wants and secrets scene work, we'll guide you through essential skills to improve your timing, establish patterns, and put together a well crafted art piece. Finish strong with a long-form performance piece that showcases your newfound confidence!
One of the requirements for this class will be attending the Student Showcase on Saturday, February 28th at 4pm.
Prerequisites - Improv Three at The Box or equivalent training and/or experience
Jeanette Cerami
Jeanette is the Education Director and Corporate Events Manager for The Box, and recently co-wrote the curriculum for the new Training Program. Jeanette started her improv training in Denver, then advanced her improv, stand-up, and sketch training in Chicago (Second City, iO, Annoyance) and sketch writing in LA at UCB. She's happy to be back in her birthplace of Albuquerque where she performs regularly as a cast member of The Show at The Box.
