Hello!  Auditions for Guys and Dolls Jr. are Thursday September 2nd from 6:30-7:30 and Saturday September 4th from 2:00-4:30 pm.  We are looking for actors/actresses from ages 8-17 years old.  It will consist of a cold reading, and one song a capella prepared by the auditionee.  Please pick a 15 minute timeslot below. Audition will be held at The Box Performance Space and Improv Theatre 100 Gold Ave. SW 112b, Downtown Albuquerque, NM.

Synopsis

Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, this Broadway classic introduces us to colorful characters who have become legends in the canon: Sarah Brown, the up right but uptight "mission doll," out to reform the evildoers of Times Square; Sky Masterson, the slick, high-rolling gambler who woos her on a bet and ends up falling in love; Adelaide, the nightclub performer whose chronic cold is brought on by the fact she's been engaged to the same man for 14 years; and Nathan Detroit, her devoted fiancé, desperate as always to find a spot for his infamous floating crap game.

Everything works out in the end, thanks to the twists and turns of the hilarious, fast-paced book which takes us from Times Square to Havana to the sewers of Manhattan, with a bright, brassy immortal score that's also easy to sing.

Exuberant, irreverent and lighthearted, Guys And Dolls is considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy - and a perfect introduction to the American musical.
