While it is primarily a platform for Albuquerque’s new and veteran artists, the Lounge has been host to performers from all over the world – dancers, musicians, singers, jugglers, belly dancers, filmmakers, sideshow head-shrinkers, stand-up comedians, evangelical prophet-poets from Texas, silent poets from Sweden, puppeteers, Elvis impersonators … the list goes on and on!

Wilder and Wilder (Denver)- Wilder & Wilder is a half-hour one-man improvised musical, performed by Los Angeles and Colorado improviser Stephen Wilder. With only the suggestion of a title, an entire musical narrative is generated, with multiple characters, scenes and plenty of songs. And everyone learns a little something along the way!
Hit and Run Improv (Denver)- Colorado's ONLY improvised musical! With decades of combined experience, the performers of Hit and Run: Musical Improv take the suggestion of a title and turn it into a full-on Broadway musical, complete with dance breaks, soaring ballads and a story that will leave you wondering if it was all improvised.
Pavlov's Dogs- The newest long form team in Albuquerque!
Team members are Stephen Forrest, Rocki Jian, Rachel Leos,
and Ericka Olvera. Sound familiar? You may have seen them
in the latest Blackout Tonight and there's plenty more
where that came from.
Chaos Comedy (Phoenix)- Chaos Comedy combines the energy of short form improv and the developed scene work of long form to create a blend all their own. Drawing from these two elements allow Chaos to create a rich and varied tapestry of emotions and relationships that fit right in at a theatre or in a comedy club.
Starving Horse- Duke City Burque Q's hottest improv team. If you love The Stanleys then you'll love Starving Horse, because some of the dudes in The Stanleys are in Starving Horse. If you love The Q, then you'll love Starving Horse because some of the dudes in The Q are in Starving Horse. There are a few dudes who aren't on any of those improve teams you love. So, if you love dudes then you will love Starving Horse, because everyone in Starving Horse is a dude. Except Rebekah... she's a hot chick.
Cardboard Playhouse Players- Short-form improv from the fresh minds of some of 'Burque's most talented youth performers.
Marshall's Law- Albuquerque's Facebookiest Improv Team. Be There. Laugh Hard. Leave Happy.
Light Rail Pirates (Phoenix)- The Light Rail Pirates (LRP) are a loose confederation of buccaneers, whose sole goal was to impose their reign of terror onto Phoenix's newest form of public transport. Alas they arrived in Phoenix only to discover that the Light Rail is still under construction, so as all soldiers of fortune do during down times, they have turned their anger towards the art of improv comedy.
Nobody's Stranger- Nobody's Stranger is a fresh new improv team in good ol' Burque, with a lot of energy and heart! Nobody's Stranger starts off the show with a high-energy warm-up game, then get into about a half hour of short form improv. They gather three suggestions from the audience by asking for the most recent (appropriate!) text message on their cell phones. From there, the show begins! Nobody's Stranger is Will Toledo, Jody Engelhardt, Robert Engerhardt, and Stephanie Misurek.
No Holds Bard- The forgotten Shakespearean Texts performed for audiences live as they were intended. Does anyone remember reading about Shakespeare's plays that didn't take place between Kings and Queens but between office managers and copy machine repairmen? We have unearthed those texts and will be performing them for you.
The Gryffindorks- This team, made up of some of the youngest improvisers in the "biz," happily claims the title, "Oldest Improv Team in Albuquerue." Their original long-form improv is magical!
Now Improv with Annie and Levin (Los Angeles)- Now? is an improvised show based on the honesty of the moment. Every show begins in silence, allowing the players to feel a true connection and then to move forward and explore that world and its characters. Each show will be comedic, dramatic, patient or fast as the moment calls for. The only rule is the be present, now.
The One Night Stanleys- The best team ever! (Or at least in this fair city (i.e., Albuquerque).) Alex, Joe, & Steve come together to create the delicious scenes for the audience to consume. They create delightful characters that "fans" want to emulate. They deliver a hilarious long-form improv show that will hilight (adj., a combination of hilarious and delightful) you to the max (and may even teach you something about yourself).
