The Gryfinndorks and The Copyrights $6

The Gryffindorks, made up Kelsey Montoya, Jenna Ritchey, Nic Baca and Alex McCue, have created their own original long-form format: using audience suggestions, they create an amazingly clever performance that will leave you wanting more. Special Gryffindork Guest: TBA. The Copyrights are a new group of high-energy young improvisers, ranging in age from eleven to fifteen.

Rover Hendrix $6 

Imagine three guys improvising on stage, but almost entirely without words. Imagine if you took wrestlers and had them do modern dance, or if you had modern dancers wrestle, or martial artists doing clown. Modern wresling martial clown artists? It's odd, it's graceful, and it's seriously entertaining.

“We Can’t Promise You Breakfast, Only a Good Time, Baby!”
The One Night Stanleys will astonish you with their lightning-fast improvisational comedy. Working with audience input, The One Night Stanleys createa hilarious, original long-form improv performance. Believe me, when you wake up Sunday morning, you won’t regret having spent Saturday night with the members of The One Night Stanleys: Joe Carney, Nando Fresquez, Alex Knight, and Steve Lucero.

The Josh and Tamra Show $10
Over the past nine years, the duo have been performing their unique brand of comedy coast to coast. In 2006, JoshAndTamra.com was launched which includes short films, and an on-line sitcom featuring the cast. They recently won the “Best Comedy Pilot” award for "Apartment 413”, at the New York Television Festival.

Albuquerque's finest improvisers come together to bring you love triangles, deception, evil twins and insidious murder plots. The Pilot episode opened to rave reviews. Make Saturdays your regular soap night for four weeks this August. Four shows and twelve characters (give or take a few) in search of a storyline. A spontaneous tale of suave tomfolishness.

The Remainders are Phoenix's first and only improvised musical theatre troupe. Asking the audience to suggest the title of a musical that's never been done, The Remainders use that title as the springboard to create an unscripted, unrehearsed, complete musical play.

Saturday Sept. 20th

Blackout Theatre Company $6 
Blackout Theatre, unlike other blackouts you may have heard about, will not ruin all the food in your fridge, will not cause looting, and will not provide a haven for serial killers. They will however, perform some hilarious long form improv. Using nothing more than an audience suggestion and duct tape (though, we may be out of duct tape), Blackout will create a "Harold" style improv show sure to have you laughing so hard you forgot about those soaring gas prices. Come to the dark side! BLACKOUT!

Deadline to register is Sept. 1
This tournament has two teams square off each night in performing improvised games, songs, or scenes based on audience suggestions. Judges and the audience award points and designate each night's winning team, which advances to the next round. The two finalists play on the closing night of the The Duke City Improv Festival, Saturday Sept. 20th. at 8:00pm
